As a beginner in the wedding photography business, your social media should be active always. People get to see your work and contact you easily on social media from there. Promote your business through social such as Facebook Instagram Whatsapp and others because everyone knows “social media can give you unexpected clients”
Your new photography business should be registered. Making it legal is one of the biggest mistakes of a beginner they skip the contract part.
Keep your communication lines open
Respond quickly late replies are boring if the client is excited don’t spoil their excitement/ eagerness by replying late. Make sure that the client has all way to contact you.
Build relationships with other vendors
Good relationships with other vendors can make your new business run smoothly in some way. You should try building a good relationship with them by giving them respect; greeting them throughout the event and after the event continuing your communication to build your networks for the future. Vendors such as florists, makeup artists, Officiant, venue coordinators, and wedding planners, can help your business in a good way. Exchange your business card with them. Also, one last tip shares vendors’ photos on social media, and don’t forget to tag them this can help build trust
Assist a professional
Learning basics and little details are not completely possible on the internet. Assisting a professional, and taking advice from them before you start your own is important it help you in avoiding common mistake and it will also create a rough image in your mind.
After working with a professional you will gain a handful of experience which can help you a lot when you start shooting on your own. Some tips can be proven as master or Pro tips if you follow them positively. Lastly being a good learner always gives you profit and working with professionals and seeing how they manage and cover the complete event to achieve the best results can teach you a lot.
Plan your shoot
Planning your shoot can save you time. Weddings have a lot to cover so having your plan can be the savior. Arrange all your equipment and also have a backup plan for example have extra batteries, memory cards, and a camera too.
Scouting the location, if you can, will help you find the best background to shoot this must be a Boring task but this trick can make your click perfect and flawless. Ask the couple if they have any special shots saved in their mind if yes then compile a list of all shots. In the wedding, photography preparation is the key if you have your plans and backup with you then nothing can go wrong on the final day
Know your camera settings well
A most wedding photographer who is beginners miss exploring their camera settings completely and this can embarrass you in front of your clients so if you don’t want to face this moment know all little setting well. Try to shoot in RAW because you can fix it afterward the way you want or the client want. Shooting in RAW has many advantages it’s actually a time taking process but it will all be worth it in the end
Have a partner/ assistant photographer with you
Having an assistant photographer in your photography business is a perfect idea and will help you in many ways.
Indian weddings have a lot to cover there are a series of functions and you can’t afford to miss any corner because every shot can increase the value of the photo album.
